La Monarca Bakery joins 1% for the Planet

Los Angeles, CA. La Monarca Bakery is proud to announce its recent certification as a 1% for the Planet member. This achievement reaffirms La Monarca Bakery’s commitment to preserving and protecting the Monarch butterfly population, and is a result of La Monarca Bakery’s long-standing partnership with ECOLIFE Conservation, which cultivates impactful solutions to care for the delicate habitat of the Monarch butterflies that La Monarca Bakery honors in its namesake.

As La Monarca Bakery has grown from a single bakery in 2006 to twelve retail locations throughout Los Angeles and national grocery distribution today, its support of this mission has grown as well. In 2023, La Monarca Bakery raised and donated $68,000 towards Monarch Butterfly conservation through multiple fundraising initiatives, including an in-store retail activation during Earth Month in April.
